From the top of my head: "genius!"
it might be worth thinking about. I would reduce the amount of water to maybe 2mm at the most to not diffuse the light too much.
I might lose a nights sleep over it befor i can try ^^
If anyone tries, please post!

Re: Sufrace primer for silicone/slyguard
i don't know if that is such a good idea. The coating is tough enough so that it doesn't peel off while printing, but it's easy to remove when changing coatings. With the primer it should be pretty hard to peel off the existing coat. It might be good to use for flexible silicone walls for a flexible...

Re: LAMP Machine
My guess is that it still fills up completely, the second chamber may be there to constantly mix the resin to keep the ceramic particles in suspension. If you only make it stick to the already printed parts then a meniscus is bound form due to surface tension. imagine a glass slightly overfilled wit...

Re: LAMP Machine
I believe it's a XY moving DLP chip. Otherwise it's a normal top down setup, they changed the resin delivery a bit because of the high viscosity of the ceramic mixture.
So the crucial thing would be to miniaturize a projector to make it fit onto an XY carriage and we're in business xD

Re: Ideas for 'Pro' version
As far as I understand a commercial user is someone who bundles the SW itself with his machine which he distributes. If i'm printing at home and selling the prints, am I a commercial user or a home user? From my current point of view I would pay 50 bucks for a pro version since i'm not making money ...

Re: blue slices bug?
If you take RED for example, it filters out most (all?) UV, so you can use it to calibrate your sharpness/position even while you have resin in the vat.
I use blue to make the light more dim to my poor eyes. Works best if used with red resin. ninja mode so to speak...

Re: And then there came SLS
you can't do SLS with stepper XY solutions due to the hatching you need to do inside the part, it's simply not fast enough. a layer with loads of detail takes a commercial SLS machine maybe 30 seconds, and you run the risk of part curling and warping with large surfaces. That same layer would take m...

Re: FTD resin exposure times findings/help :)
i had exactly the same problem. What kind of VAT do you have? Acrylic? Boro? Adding pigment solved it all. The downside of lots of pigment is that if you have a simple tilt VAT and expose a surface a lot of times, the pigment concentration at that point starts to go down during the build and it gets...
