Re: Acer K132

you would have to mod it to use an UV LED. If it's your first build and you're not experienced with electronics i'd highly recommend to go with a traditional Projector, WXGA projectors are cheap enough. try the Acer X1373W. It looks like a H6510BD but with a lower resolution. And it costs as little ...

Acer H6510BD UV LED mod?

Hi all, i have been looking for someone who modded their Acer to use a UV LED. No luck yet. Has anyone tried it? Is there a known solution for bypassing the lamp check? I would like to mod mine to use UV LED and lens spacer to hopefully get a sharper and more uniform picture at minimum distance. If ...

Re: Carbon 3D

I'd be really interested in a group buy for europe since shipping costs are huge at CS Hyde. There is one company shipping to germany. http://www.goodfellow.com/pdf/4591_1111010.pdf 1pc 12"x12" is at around 150 Eur, but 10pcs are at 370 Eur so it's worth a try i guess. Anyone else interest...

CW without GCODE

Hi Steve, i recently bought the StepRocker Module by Trinamic. http://www.trinamic.com/products/modules/controller-driver-stepper/tmcm-1110 It's pretty awesome since Trinamic drivers run Super smoothly and quietly. I'm pretty familiar with their Control Language TMCL. It should be possible to run it...

I've just bought a RPi 2, so i will try out the Host very soon. Would be a pretty neat solution if i come up with a web interface :)

Cheers^^

Re: Carbon 3D

a few posts ago someone mentioned something about the video which seemed to have variable build speed. My guess is that as the exposed surface area gets larger, the vacuum force gets bigger(yes there is a force, it's just really small compared to building directly on the vat.) and as the force incre...

Re: Uneven focus on Acer H6510BD

have you tried a spacer for the lens? it would allow you to focus even closer, so maybe the current distance would be sharper? I would not know how to go about to do this, and since I don't know for a fact that it would help .... I will modify my Acer H6510BD sooner or later, so i will post results.

Re: carbon 3D

seems like the holy grail, and as i recall we discussed the oxygen layer here long time ago. Thoughts on the printer? I think the claim about controlling exactly how much oxygen gets through and when is bs, it's simply a permeable platform exposed to normal air. Or do you guys think the oxygen has t...
