Re: Switching from bottom-up to top-down -> typical problems

Ok, I'll bite. I found top-down to be messier, the smell of the resin was stronger, the surface of the liquid has to be perfectly motionless so walking around the printer can impact layer accuracy. I also found layer height to be more difficult to control. I like to store my resin in the bottle so i...

Is your baud rate set correctly?

download printrun and try to connect or in arduino IDE open the serial monitor (top right corner of the software). Go through the baud rates and figure out which one you have set.

Re: Super adhesion free release bed

I've found that drilling holes into the build plate and hitting it with some 320 grit sandpaper (without scratching the surface this aggressively) is enough. Never had any adhesion issues.

If you're using marlin, you'll have to disable your software endstops

Re: Strange problem with base of print

How much resin are you adding to the petri dish? I've had similar problems with my printer (not a LittleRP) when I under-filled my resin vat. The surface tension of the resin caused it to pull to the build platform and left gaps/air bubbles in the resin on the bottom of the vat. Once the build platf...

XY resolution and build size - rectangular calibration grid

Hi, I'm trying to set up a new projector for my machine but am running into a problem. My projector's native resolution is 1024x768, so I've set my build size to be 102.40mm x 76.80mm to get 100 microns in X and Y. When I show the calibration grid, however, I don't get a square grid, it's rectangula...

Re: Blue light cured resin

Hey phife,
sorry, so which resins are you referring to that could work with unmodified picos or with normal LCD screens (not the expensive and difficult to source monochrome)? I haven't come across any of those yet so if you have any links please share.

Blue light cured resin

Has anyone tried Bucktown Polymers' ZVE200-V470 resin? Claims that it is sensitive enough to be cured by a standard pico/pocket sized projector. http://bucktownpolymers.com/zve200-v470.html This would be amazing for getting the physical size of the printers down and could potentially solve problems ...
