Re: Top Down DLP build

The calibration print is supposed to have thin sheets on the top. I think this means you need more cure time? Hmm that's weird, from the looks of larger prints, we had the impression that we're overcuring, at least we have some bleed through. The projector is an ACER H6510BD, at 100% brightness wit...

Re: How Arduino controls layers switching?

The Arduino doesn't really send anything to CW, CW sends commands (GCODE) to the arduino. So it's CW that switches layers. Basically, this is the GCode part in CW in the "Lift" part of the GCode settings: G1{$SlideTiltVal != 0? X$SlideTiltVal:} Z($ZLiftDist * $ZDir) F$ZLiftRate G1{$SlideTi...

Re: Sample

There's several "Get your part printed" platforms, for instance

You can search for a LittleRP in your vicinity and it lists the materials available.

Top Down DLP build

A buddy and I built a top-down DLP printer, just "finished" it yesterday. Build log with pictures: https://imgur.com/a/HRGCl Video of its first print: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPNRklWstgI The first print is the calibration feature from Creation Workshop, though I have no clue what t...

Re: Glycerin is the way to go for top-down

We finally got around to doing some tests. Resin used is FunToDo standard. From left to right we have sugar water (about 100g of powdered sugar applied to 2dl of water, might want to give lower concentrations a true in the future), glycerin, table salt water, Epsom salt water, and regular water all ...

Re: 350x200 mm Build Platform, UV laser or DLP Projector?

A projector will give you 0.18mm xy resolution. But you can use multiple projectors to get better resolution, though that might be a little trickier to do (aligning them properly)

Re: Glycerin is the way to go for top-down

Didn't get around to testing glycerin with Epsom Salt, will probably have to wait till next weekend. Concerning glycerin, when mixing ecig juice, I usually heat it up by running hot tap water (~70°C) over it before shaking, that makes a huge difference in viscosity. So you might want to experiment w...

Re: Basic Tutorial

Beginner friendly design: I think top-down setups are pretty straightforward and less finicky than bottom up, so that's probably more beginner friendly.

Re: Glycerin is the way to go for top-down

Why did you give up on glycerin, how does it make things more complicated?
