Re: Super Fast ‘Membrane Based’ 3D
I wouldn't bet on the fact a nano coating would be very resistant to a a resin that's being cured and releasing considerable heat. The advantage of the nanostructured material is that the nano texture is part of the material itself. As I mentioned in the other post the only companies I can find that...

Re: Super Fast ‘Membrane Based’ 3D
the problem wih these hydrophobic coatings is they are not clear transparent and make the glass blurry, fuzzy, etc ... not good to make prints with fine details. already discussed in other topic. If use use structured glass or other materials you will not have this problem. In fact an added bonus w...

Re: Carbon 3D
I look forward to the first person experimenting with nanostructured glass as the basin floor. It seemingly has all the benefits one needs; superhydrophobic, highly anti reflective, highly wear resistant, chemical resistant, ... http://www.rolith.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Month-eye-SEM-0713.jpg...

Re: My Printer in Actione - inc Flexvat
Would a combination of a glass base and FEP film work to eliminate all the bulging if one has a lot of resin sitting in the basin? If this would work I would assume that it will have quite the advantages: simple cheap design and would have both the advantage of a hard bottom basin and a flexible one...
