Re: FEP vat for the LittleRP?
Just one last question about you VAT, did you test it with a LittleRP? I had issues with focusing the projector, as the mounting positions are made for the height of the petridish. So my new version of the FlexVAT has the film in the postion, were the bottom of the petri dish would be, because I did...

heres a picture of the vat
Re: Supervat
I tried 3M tape, bonded FEP to a Nalgene Dish, you can see the result on the pictures. Issues are: 1. air bubbles when bonding the tape to the petri dish, also the tape can get cloudy, if too much forces are applied to it 2. 3M tape gets cloudy after one print, and the FEP does not stay bonded to th...

Re: FEP vat for the LittleRP?
I am printing with my Flex VAT for some time now, it's available at: https://github.com/mauricebasement/FEP-Vat
It works but I might still improve the design.

Re: FEP vat for the LittleRP?
Another question: Is the tension of the FEP Film a sing of quality? Of course it has to be tensed enough to have an even surface, but doesn't tensing the film too much cause losses in it's layer releasing flexibility? I mean, the features of the FEP are its non sticking surface and the flexibility. ...

Re: FEP vat for the LittleRP?
I think the your vat looks very well engineered, and I wondered as well if you can share the files with us?
And how did you make the holes in the gasket? Did you cut them out after curing, or is the gasket molded like that, and if, how did you make the mold?

Re: FEP vat for the LittleRP?
I planned to update with instructions after the next design iteration, but I see you can't wait for it :) So put the tensioner directly on the littlerp, the fep film is put on the lasercutted middle, the gasket on top of the film, and finally the pla_vat is on top of it all. For assembly it's easier...

Re: FEP vat for the LittleRP?
The FEP film is about 26mm above the surface where the petri dish would be, I want to reduce that to 6mm, and then I have to find out how to adjust the size of the projector image. Then I have to decide for either a completly printed design, or one with lasercut pieces. But the concept basically wor...
