Re: New Creation Workshop RPi Host
So I've built my DLP printer and it works in CW, but there seems to be some trouble connecting to it through the web dashboard in CWH. I've plugged my Arduino/RAMPS into the raspberry pi in both USB ports and there's some acknowledgement LED on the Arduino, but it won't start. If I click start, a m...

Is the 0.2% shrinkage you list in your TDS for Form resin linear or volumetric shrink?

Re: How much ml is a drop of FTD pigment?
Drops are an inaccurate measurement since dropper size, temperature, etc... can all impact this. I would recommend pigmenting between 0.5% and 2% by weight or volume (both pigment blends and resins are in the 1.1-1.2 density range, which is close enough to be the same between weight and volume at th...

If you do that, I suggest also hosting slackin (https://github.com/rauchg/slackin) somewhere so that people can easily self-register for the chat.

Re: Synthesizing Resin
Cool! Can you tell us what pigment you eventually used and what resin you dispersed it into? I"m particularly interested in your mention of "carbon allotrope" in the your photos, although that description seems somewhat generic since carbon forms many allotropes (e.g. diamond is an al...

Re: led that DO NOT cure resin
I think that almost any 2700K LED will serve your purpose. I have my printer room lit up with 5 of these: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Cree-100W-Equivalent-Soft-White-2700K-A21-Dimmable-LED-Light-Bulb-BA21-16027OMF-12DE26-1U100/205054835 and have no problems with unwanted curing, even for insanely fas...

Re: SLC 2 PNG
Nice! A few tips to those who might try to use this: Here's an example of a run that will output slices in the default frames.zip file: slc2png -r 90 -s -f GoPro-Frame.slc Note that the parameter to r (XY resolution) must be an integer. Shahin, a few asks: ⋅ Would it be possible to allow ...

Re: Inexpensive UV Cure Resin
Interesting. SunCure UV 2000 appears to be a type of BAPO photoiniator with similar characteristics to the "819" family of photoinitiators that are sold by various different companies and is commonly used in 3D printing resins. https://www.docketalarm.com/cases/PTAB/IPR2013-00049/Inter_Par...

Re: Resin Features & Properties Wish List
There are no standardized tests that I know of, but I did devise 4 tests that can be run in a relatively standardized way for the following properties: Cure Depth Film Adhesion Plate Adhesion Ratio Liquid Immersion Suction Only one of which actually requires printing (the plate adhesion ratio). The ...
