Re: Retina iPad Display
Also realized something, can the RasPi even handle the resolution of a Retina display? It says max video resolution of 1080P...does that not matter since we are using it for still images?

Re: Cracking sound at release from FEP film
Hi AndersonTa, it did sound like a drum but probably not high pitched enough. I tightened it a bit more and prints were getting much better. Also the release sound is almost gone now. However, a redesign is needed for my FlexVat since there is no more room left for more tension. I'll also integrate...

Re: Retina iPad Display
Hello new guy here. This may be a dumb uneducated question, but I just saw that photocentric has a screen offering that is 9.7" that comes with connector and driver board. Firstly, is this achieving the same as what you are trying to do with iPads? Does it need to be modified on any way? Secon...

Re: Retina iPad Display

I'd use a straight edge ruler w/ exacto knife/blade and gently score repeatedly until I got thru the metal...

Re: Cracking sound at release from FEP film
It sounds like you could use more tension on your teflon, it shouldn't pick up 3mm before releasing.
When it's tensioned, and you tap it, does it sound like a drum?

Re: Retina iPad Display
Well, seeing as no one has posted any photos before... I went ahead and started to take apart the iPad screen. Man, that initial metal backing is a PITA to remove! Seeing as I'm not 100% (not even 50%) sure on what I'm doing, I very well could have take too much apart on this screen, though in my d...
