Re: another one!
Awesome work Sodium, I am Really impressed!!! :) I love the way for solving your linear actuator. The plastic obturator over lenses seems to be made by plastic compound????, be careful, because is accidentally melted by the light heat, would be drop melted over the lenses...and you can have a BIG pr...

Re: My new custom DLP Printer
Humm, let me see.... The Reims Cathedral seems to be overexposed, mostly of the small details is overcured maybe for a wrong time exposure or a crappy linear actuator(maybe?) or wrong focusing areas on surface printing area, maybe some bad aligned stuff, I suggest you if you post some photos of the ...

Re: Carbon 3D
More details about the 3D printer from Buffalo http://3dprint.com/54864/super-fast-3d-printer/ Honestly, I think that would be more useful to that community to have more real tests with your own 3dprinters, using several compounds, ect ,ect , than the theories and hipotethical situations.... :D

Re: Carbon 3D
Yes, I am 100% agree, Software needs to be tweaked for make more accurate tests. at my latest test trying to emulate continuous printing, I noticed that the standard FEP teflon needs to be really highly tensioned, if is not enough tensioned ,you can clearily noticed that fails 500micron stepping on ...

Re: Carbon 3D
I read the article, quite interesting guys: http://3dprint.com/53286/gizmo-3d-printers-fastest/ “I believe the continues printing method that Carbon 3D is using, and what I am using, can really only be used on thin walls,” he tells us. “As the thin wall dips into the resin, the top is small enough t...

Kobus from Gizmo 3D printers has been busy developing his own top down DLP printer.

Re: Carbon 3D
So, until we can get this 'holy grail' of release film, I would like to see if we could do more testing/modifications using existing FEP and CW (let me know if we need to separate this to another topic). I think octanees is going down the right path (awesome machine and prints by the way!). If we c...

Re: Carbon 3D
That video is from earlys prototypes. If you have a look at final stage printer(the black one that was showed on TED) the movement is equal in terms of velociy from first slyce to the end.Anyway, with ONLY two videos of reference is pretty much difficult to know the KnowHOW of the machine. the other...
