Re: i need advice for my sla

Hi, from my tests, I think that removing the color wheel is not a gain. but why not. today there are lots of resins which are very reactives even with a conventional video projector, even without any light mod. Then I think that you let it unmodified. The most important thing is focus length. If it ...

Re: FunToDo Help

I would say that with a 3500lm projector (say ACERP1500 with default manufacturer settings) at a distance around 10cm, you obtain good results for 50µm slices and 0.8s<exposure<1.2s, depending of the object volume.

Re: projector black area too bright, it's curing the entire build area.

just reduce the brightness. I already have this issue and solve it by reducing the brightness. The FTD resin does not need too much light to cure. I'd successfully made some prints of 10 hours, without your problem. Too much light and the print fails after 1h !

Re: Resin (smoking)

Seems that your problem is that the energy is not properly adjusted (sorry for my English, adjusted may not be the right word). What you can try is to set your projector closer to the resin. Say 20cm. Then print thicker slice, say 50µm. Then reduce the exposure to 3s. What could happen in your case ...

You may try the FunToDo castable blend which works fine with DLP primters.

Re: $10 Top Down Build SLA. Testing for Bottom Up Build

All projectors I'd tested works fine. This mostly depends on the resin. Some needs to modify the projector (UV filters) others not (as FunToDo resins).
