First DLP printer questions
Hi, I'm trying to build a DLP 3D printer this year as my Christmas present to myself (I'll probably finish it by march) and I've got just a few question I'd like to ask if anyone has any experience or recommendations: 1) Is a nema 17 27:1 geared stepper motor okay for a z axis? I've read people have...

Re: Simple Light control
OK I have my 20W LED now, LCD is on the way and should be here soon (yay eBay shipping...), may we return to my original question? I remember what one of you said about using the fan pins to activate a relay and I am still confused as how to do so with the firmware? I've looked at marlin firmware an...

Maybe if there was one which could be dissasembled to remove anything blocking light from passing through it, but that sounds like a goose chase. Thanks, unless my LCD sucks I'm going to stick with it for now until I can g...

Re: Simple Light control
Nice, though the shipping to me is about as much as the display itself. I'll stick with my $10 colour LCD for now though.

Re: Simple Light control
Well that isn't exactly the lens I have but it has the same specs on paper. Anyway my LCD is unfortunately multicolored. I could not find anything monochrome at that size that had a reasonable pixel pitch, or wasn't non-graphic, was a very small OLED, or from eBay and kind of questionable. You know ...

Re: Simple Light control
Generic 20W LED, 600ma 32-34 V, and a focusing lens. Its basically the same time as you'd find on ebay. Here's either it or a similar one on ebay: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/221420907620?var=520297371649&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649, and a similar driver: http://www.ebay.ca...

Re: Simple Light control
OK, I got a 20w UV LED, I think that should be enough. Any tips as to how to modify the firmware to get this to work?
