CW Stops Mid-Print
Hello, I've been using CW for a few months with my custom printer (based off of the LittleRP). I have been successfully making prints for some time now. However, I've recently changed from my Atom 330 / Windows 10 to a better (yet still old) computer running windows 10. I've also started using the l...

Re: Yet another cheap build - Need your help!
The motor in your DVD/RW is a standard DC motor with an optical encoder. Unfortunately this is of no use to you for this purpose. What you need is a stepper motor driven CD/DVD assembly. These are fairly common and every savaged DVD drive I've ever opened up has had a stepper. A stepper motor will h...

Re: First Build Top-Down getting started.
Regarding the dead pixels, you are better off with pixels stuck in the off position. If they are stuck in the on position (which is what I had), you will be exposing the resin to those pixels and you will probably get small cured particles in your vat. For the mirror, I was curious about using the H...

Re: First Build Top-Down getting started.
I know the IN2104EP has an auto shutdown if no sources are connected. If you do have a source connected and it is shutting down, it could be something else. I totally removed the filter glass from the bulb assembly and I haven't had any issues with it shutting off. I did have an issue turning on the...

Re: First Build Top-Down getting started.
I started using a IN2104EP. I took out the UV glass from the bulb assembly, broke off the color wheel and added spacers to lens assembly to shorten the focus distance. I knew I needed to shorten the focus distance since I'm going for smaller prints. During the mods I stripped the projector down furt...

Re: InFocus 2104
I am currently putting together a printer on the 'cheap'. Just in case anyone comes across this post, I picked up an InFocus 2104 off of eBay for less than $40. I put in 3mm spacers to adjust the focal length and broke off the color wheel. However I also had a question as to what glass to remove sin...

If you do want to continue down the "Uno / GRBL" route, check out the LittleRP, they are using Arduino compatible microcontroller (Uno + custom shield) with GRBL v0.8
