Clear acrylic is good to seal parts and stop darkening with time, its pledge kleer by the way, but for elecroplating a coat of silver loaded paint is used as a base layer, not cheap, then nickel or copper plated, DIY plating is very do-able but like most things has a technique needing practice. May well be talking rubbish here, but can the firmware be configured for dc extruder, if so a relay would work, else, could the frequency of the stepper pulses be used to control laser power, F to V,
or a frequency switch, (comparator)

I dip or sparay sla parts with johnsons kleer floor wax, its been known by other names over time, and is not wax but clear acrylic. it seals against uv from sun, and can be a base for further paints. my wife uses gliss hair product, don't know what it does, but empty pump pray bottles are ideal, wit...

Just an observation..... if the weight is always downwards, then with a leadscrew backlash
is not so much of an issue, provided that friction is not too high, but maybe I have missunderstood.

Thanks for posting this, very interesting stuff, I have been told that in sensative toothpaste, nano particle glass is the ingrediant that fills the tooth (holes), so it is made in bulk, just need to get some.

SLA systems use a build style called quickcast, its honeycombed, I mentioned somewhere in another post that it may be possible to
do the same with a form of dithering or image processing?.

The casting firm need experiance with it, as its different to wax.

If you are on windoze, make sure you have the right usb port set, I used grbl controller to get things running well first.

I want to try ultrasonics or vibration to help release, maybe combined with a rotation action, but will not get time for a while.
