I have recently stripped down an ancient astrobeam lcd projector, and the lcd panel ...

Re: New Builder - LCD Based 3D Printer - Introduction
Good news what did you do different?. Reading the info, it seems that the polarizers, or at least the second one, allow us to see the image, as without it we see nothing, I have not yet got my head around wether it would cure resin without the second polarizer, ie, is an image formed but not visable...

Re: External lamp unit
You could test it on a spot of resin spread onto glass, Dentists use uv resin for fillings, I have some its thick paste, is it white light or uv, have you looked inside at the light source?, if its suitable, you could make an adaptor to the light gate, so you can revert back to the bulb if needed. You are very welcome Nick, LCD's are plentifull and cheap from old monitors, so please keep posting your work, I think one other
member is working with lcd.
Yes we are lucky to get such a nice piece of software, it means we do not have to mess around to get our printers running

Re: My tilt mechanism
Nice, that platform holder looks the business, the exposure looks to be about seven seconds, is that from trial and error for the resin,
Would you or someone consider writing a simple guide, or steps to ascertain exposure settings???.
Anyway thanks for letting us see your work.
