Re: Why are there no large stage DLP 3D printers
I do not recall the name of the company, but there was one developing a system that used a projector-type system on an x/y gantry. Rather than steering the beam, the projector was physically moved curing out a section of the build platform at a time. Obviously this would be pretty slow and maybe a g...

Re: Suitable glue (that's not dissolved by resin)
Silicone adhesives will work. I had used silicone to build some all glass vats. With those I did see that some component of the resin is able to permeate through the silicone though resulting in an oily residue on the outer surface of the silicone. A 2 part epoxy or maybe a PMMA (poly methyl methacr...

Re: Gcode with XY coordinate for galvo real or mith?
Luca, My understanding is that CW does not put out any gcode for galvanometers. Such things do exist and that is where the Pryntech OpenSL system started. However, that method was abandoned and using the Laser Shark card along with the galvanometers was then pursued. There is a laser shark plugin fo...

Re: LaserShark what i have got working.
Hi PacManFan, Could you please release any alpha/beta version of Lasershark plugin for testing?please In some older posts of this thread you can download the driver package. Then download the whole CW release in one of the links. Then download the most recent version of the CW plugin and replace it...

Re: LaserShark what i have got working.
Hi Steve, Great work so far. I am having a couple of issues. #1 TTL does not seem to be working. If I hook my TTl signal wires to any of the channels on the laser shark, the laser remains off. Once I unhook them then the laser comes on. #2 My system will not display or scan anything if I hit the pri...

Re: BMMal DLP Build
Looks really nice! Link to the O-ring? I made it from 1/8" Viton O-ring Stock from McMaster. The vulcanizing kit is $35 and without a heated mold for it I would not recommend it. I ended up using CA on some which seems to work pretty well. I did not look for an off-the-shelf one but here they ...

BMMal DLP Build
Here is an album of the machine I have built. It's a pretty standard setup for the most part. My flex bottom vat is probably the most interesting part of the machine. There is a step file of the vat assembly in the link below as well. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/0cksh07otwy7pjv/AACqz1tdEM0B2MvIjWLsIK...

Re: New MakerJuice SF Resin
What are people using for cure times with this resin? I have a 2200 lumen projector at .1mm xy at 140mm x 105mm. That means I have about 15 lumens/cm^2. For SF at 50 microns I have to use a 10 second cure time, which seems to be causing banding around my part... I am testing 15 microns right now but...

Projector Safety
I want to warn anyone who hasn't realized this already. If you close CW while your projector is still on it is obviously going to display your desktop. I highly recommend switching your desktop background to black as a safety precaution. Last night I left my machine running in the shop at work to fi...
