Re: Flex bottom VAT
Even if the topic is named "flex bottom VAT" I created a version with a 2mm acrylic bottom (see picture above) as I didn't want the FEP film to sag. The only problem I'll be facing is how to add the FEP film onto the acryl: du you guys think I can do it via adhesion after removing the prot...

Re: Flex bottom VAT
I've created a VAT out of 6mm acryl and a 2mm acryl bottom which is removeable: plan to test a FEP film instead of my silicone -> hope int improves my prints.
On the picture there are still the protective films on the 2mm bottom.
Print area is 240 * 135 mm

First prints!
Hi, Below some prints I made with my self designed SLA printer- BUT: so far I'm not satisfied with the quality so I hope someone can assist ;) 1.) I've printed the orange helix at 0,05mm so I got my first successful print: the surface is nearly flat but the thickness of the helix poles varies 2.) th...

Re: vat coating sticking on printed part
hi, IrgendwerAusIrgendwo, just wondering.. how do you make the vat walls. do you somehow bend the plexiglass?(i asume plexiglass) cheers, hp The base is 2mm and the walls are 4mm plexiglass. Glued with "Acrifix 192" it is a perfect solution - the glue hardens under normal light but smells...

Re: vat coating sticking on printed part
Looks like your printing straight up, you can't really do that on silicone VAT coating unless you move to a new spot once you have burnt the area your previous print was at. What is your layer height at that exposure? If your at 100 micron or less your over curing your resin and it may be burning i...

Hi, As prints usually take a long time I would like to print and work e.g. on Solidworks in the meantime. BUT everytime I switch to another programm after starting the print job, the screen of my projector does not show the sliced image - therefore I would like to allocate my projector to Creation W...

Re: my build!
Hi! I assume you're from Germany ;) Do you use Borosilicate for the Vat? If so...do you have a reliable source that ships to Germany? How about the mirror? I would be cool if you shared price and source for those components :) Austria! :-) I use simple glass from a cheap, glossy picture frame from ...
