Re: Lets build an easy to use controller board...
I see a problem with that plan though. There's quite a few builds that are not HD projectors do won't have HDMI. The price difference is substantial between SD and HD, I would think you'd want to keep support for VGA. Clinton Could be as simple as this --> http://uk.farnell.com/element14/piview/ada...

Re: Lets build an easy to use controller board...
I think utilizing a Raspberry Pi should be the right way to go at the moment. It is incredibly cheap, has an HDMI out and some GIO Ports that should be enough for some steppers. You then would need to have software on it that does the complete printing job so this would need a completely new toolch...

Re: Whats needed for a DLP Printer

I agree the purpose of using the the PI would be to add more processing power and to remove the need for a dedicated computer. Cost sav...

Re: Multi-material for DLP
I haven't been able to find a video of their multi-material setup. The paper I referenced can he found here, http://www-bcf.usc.edu/~yongchen/Research/Digital_Material_2012.pdf Interesting read...... I like the carousel idea. I think a magazine clip design might be more compact.(Can see these machi...

Re: Multi-material for DLP
This sounds like an interesting project... I have been toying around with some of these ideas and it's definitely doable. One of the idea's I have been playing around with is to have a g-Code proxy. Its basically a small app that reads the g-codes and forwards it to the correct piece of hardware. By...

Re: Lets build an easy to use controller board...
sorry, but been so busy that I have not really thought this through, anyone have any thoughts, seems that if someone is willing to do it, its a good chance to get a board specific for sla type printers. Thanks Johnrpm. I enjoy designing these boards and with the help of the community I am sure we c...
