Yep it should be possible but it costs a lot in materials (for the carrousel) and in size. In order to use this with existing software, i would try with Slic3r. The software could create Gcode with a line for tool changing when you need to pause to change material.

Cheap Photospectrometer. http://publiclab.org/wiki/spectrometer I tried to make the cardboard one but it didnt work very well. I bought the kit with the webcam and im using that with decent results. Its not super duper accurate, but it gives you an idea of what light wavelengths are coming from you...

I have a cheap Photospectrometer that I made to check the wavelengths of light my light source is putting out. very handy. How did you do it ? With leds ? I saw some of these cheap Photospectrometer.
