Viewsonic pjd7820hd for sale

I have a Viewsonic PJD7820hd for sale. The color wheel (glass) was removed by an authorized Viewsonic repair facility**. Less than 250 hours on the unit and lamp. Perfect working condition (as long as you like black and white). $450 OBO. ** Yes, that was an odd conversation. "No..no, I don't ne...

Re: Fumes / Ventilation

I simply don't trust assurances that these rather complex chemicals/fumes are safe regardless of what the MSDS says. General Motors worked mightily to convince everyone that Tetraethyllead was perfectly harmless - up to and including having demonstrations where someones hand was immersed in the stuf...

Some items I have printed with it. All are a 50/50 mix of SubG+ and SubF from Makerjuice.

Top down system for sale $900

This is the third top down system I have built and I am going back to FDM. I am sick of the mess of cleaning up the resin and fighting warpage problems. Asking $900. That is a good deal for this setup. I started out just thinking of selling the projector but I figured somebody might want the rest of...

Re: Questions about Top-Down method

I think excessive photoinitiator which is meant to allow very fast curing is not helpful. One of Funtodo's main claims seems to be this type of very fast cure. Curing very quickly leads to greater stress and causes a lot more worries about external light. With Makerjuice (G+ or SubF) the background ...

Re: Pico Projector base 3D printer

Why stop there??? Why not also ask someone to fly to your location and assemble the printer for you. Sorry to sound annoyed - specific questions about building a machine can be helpful. Questions like "please detail every step necessary to build a machine" are not. There is a great deal of...

Why NOT use saltwater?

From what I can tell here the consensus is top down with resin floating on saltwater works well. My primary concern was pigment loss from the resin into the water which does not seem to really be happening in the real world. So the question is - if you are using a top down machine why would you NOT ...

Re: More @ 100 microns

I have had better luck with 3-5mm wall thickness. Whenever I can possibly get away with it I use 3mm solid supports. I do NOT like the part separating from the support. The printer is just a custom build top down unit. In the past I had used netfabb to hollow the part but that costs money...now that...
