Re: 3D DLP printer greatly improved print quality with flex

Re: want to hire someone to print me parts

Try http://www.2engineers.com they have multiple dlp-printers (miicraft and home build) that can print you the parts. They can print really high quality stuff. Real nice people living in Belgium I can print for you too, but have no high strength resin at the moment (Funtodo industrial blend for exam...

Re: Is there a fast slice software for DLP machine?

I'dont exactly understand the problem.

But if you want to get a slicer that outputs svg-files, Slic3r is a good option.
Reading SVG files in Python is a bit of a challange, but definetly possible. (I am writting code in python to do exactly that at this moment for my printer)

Re: Belt drive Z-axis

I agree with John.

Other thought: The seperation force can become quite high (it can bend my 2mm thick glass quite a bit), possibly stretching the belt. Meaning loss of accuracy.

Re: 3D DLP printer in concept stage

At first i just raised the build area to peel. seems to be sufficient. Later I removed one of the clamps that hold the glass in place(the black bar on the photo). That allows the glass to bend a bit when lifting the build area. Maybe that helps a bit, (I made just 3 prints before i had to leave). Fu...

Re: Usable projector list + hacks

I am using a lenovo m500 (156w lightbulb and 1700 ansi lumen) (an ancient dlp projector discontinued in 2007)
I had to add a spacer to get the right focal length.

The projector is not particulary powerfull, but i need only 1,5 sec curing time (did not try less than that) to cure the funtodo resin.
