mdf and acrylic size
Hi, I currently don't have a chance to have a closer look at the dog files but I wonder if the case plates or the acrylic hood has to be of a special thickness or if this doesn't matter? Thankfully the BOM seems to completely metric and I wonder if the pieces for milling/laser cutting will also work...

Re: Whats needed for a DLP Printer
I don't think it would be the right way to try to run a desktop on the RPi. Of course it is possible but that is (no matter which OS you use) far away from snappy. I think looking at OctoPrint or Repetier Server shows how things could go with a low cost Singleboard computer. As slicing is rather che...

Re: Lets build an easy to use controller board...
I think utilizing a Raspberry Pi should be the right way to go at the moment. It is incredibly cheap, has an HDMI out and some GIO Ports that should be enough for some steppers. You then would need to have software on it that does the complete printing job so this would need a completely new toolcha...

Re: How to use FEP film the best way?
Thanks, just had a look at their video about how to change this frame. It indeed does look like they're using the same procedure as i have in mind. The FEP film doesn't look very tight tensioned so maybe this is the key for a smart release.

How to use FEP film the best way?
Hi guys, it's getting serious about my printer. Linear guides for the z axis are on their way, the spindle (ball screw) is already here. Also the drawing for the case out of aluminum extrusion is nearly finished. The next thing "todo" is a nice VAT. I try to keep it as simple as possible f...

Re: Solidator Vat Release Patent
Interesting method. Though i don't have any experiences with printing yet (first printer still to build) from the description in the patent i could imagine that they just use something like a silent membrane air pump to keep the atmospheric pressure within this cavity between the film and the bottom...

Re: Solidator DLP kickstarter
what i find much more interesting on this printer is what they say about sticking to the VAT. They say they're not using PDMS and are having there technique patented. Does anyone have any idea what they're doing?

Re: BenQ TH680/MH680 and Acer H6510BD
@Claudio - i'm not Clinton though i have an Acer P1500 around which is quite the same (except one software feature: the 2d to 3d conversion) and i can say that it goes waaay closer with the focal distance than you need for the 100 micron resolution but i can't say for sure that you can make it until...

Re: Acer P1500 to start with
Yeah a design like yours is my alternative between the two-mirror design and the basic no-mirror-but-really-big way which basically looks good for a first try but the room it takes is not what i'm looking for :) I'll follow your thread - i'm keen to see how you do the mirror craddle. Also what mirro...
