Re: Projector is displaying next slice before arm has retracted

One thing I noticed is the scale is off and by quite a bit. A 1cm cube comes out at 1cm high, and about 7/7.5mm (I don't have callipers yet) X and Y. I increased X and Y scale in creation workshop by 25% which seems a lot but that made it 9mm, almost there and I can increase it more but it feels li...

Re: Projector is displaying next slice before arm has retracted

Z Bottom speed and Z Lift Speed are pretty important. You want a slow Z bottom speed to ensure your bottom layers stick to the platform (If its too fast it will rip the build off the platform) Same with Z Lift Speed, too fast is not good. I would start with 50 mm/m bottom speed and 60 mm/m lift spee...

Re: Projector is displaying next slice before arm has retracted

Yeah you'll need to bump up the lift and sequence time. I would take your vat out and do a dry run. Keep increasing the time until you get to a point where it starts projecting about a second or two after the Z arm has stopped.

Re: Very long cure times for MakerJuice SF for LRP, seems more translucent

Going from petri to flexvat, your cure times will increase just because of the distance. An inch farther away from the projector will make a big difference, but maybe not as drastic as you are describing. Did you ever try switching back to petri after you were having troubles with the original resin...

Re: please help me troubleshoot this print

It could be related to the supports. Whats your specs on the support generating? Size and spacing?

Re: Parts not sticking to build plate with vat and FTD black

Thanks for your advice. I tried raising the part up and adding the supports. The print did not fail in the usual way: it was still stuck to the build plate at the end. The print was, however, crap. Inside the forest of spikes, the actual part was malformed. Does anyone sell a perforated build plate...

Re: Parts not sticking to build plate with vat and FTD black

Lots of good replies in this thread. This is a pretty common issue when using the flexvat. Here are a few things that will help maximize build plate adhesion (Some have been mentioned already): - Sand build plate with rough grit sandpaper - Increase bottom exposure (Rule of thumb I use for flexvats ...

Re: Extremely long exposure times - Help!

Definitely shouldn't be taking that long to cure.

I'm not familiar with that projector but did you remove the the UV filter from it? That will definitely help. Also is that a brand new or refurb unit? It may need a new bulb.

Re: Redesign of the FlexVat for the LittleRP

Kai I have been testing a design that uses a support plate also (I have had requests for vats with an acrylic support under the FEP). One of the problems I saw was the FEP film would tend to stick to the acrylic support plate which does not allow the FEP film to bulge slightly upwards when the buil...
