Silicone molding printed parts
Makerjuice resin prevents Smooth-On silicone from curing when they touch. Even when very well cured. Does anyone have a good workaround?

Re: resolutions you can achieve on littleRP
With the 6510BD you will still have nasty UV variations across the build area, which can't be fully corrected, and will leade to areas which print overly thick, while other areas fail to cure.

Re: Create a mask with UV sensor
All my prints have been worse since I've been trying this UV mask technique. I won't go into the details of all the reasons. I decided that I must figure out how to predict the resultant intensity for a given mask value and projector coordinate. So I chose 4 of the brightest points and sampled each ...

Re: Create a mask with UV sensor
CaptainBisquick, is your CW stable on Virtual machine? Don't you have any problems with missing microsteps? Because I had some issues regard to CPU performance http://www.buildyourownsla.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4974 Slow PC will affect print quality. I've not had any issues. My machine is...

Re: Create a mask with UV sensor
I'll continue to update this post so that any info I share is not spread out in many different places. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5xhy1fei4rwial5/render-uv-mask-0.2.blend This is the file to produce a UV mask using Blender (open source, totes free dudes). The Blender interface isn't conventional, but...

Re: Create a mask with UV sensor
Thanks for the help guys. Good catch on the image size. It seems the problem was related to the use of PNG. I'm generating my mask image using displacement mapping in Blender (I'll share the blend file with you guys), and then any tweaks are done either in Blender before render, or in Gimp after ren...

Re: Create a mask with UV sensor
Which versions of CW does this work with? I'm using v1.0.0.36, and I get strange effects when the mask is applied. Sometimes it looks like this (scan lines effect): https://www.dropbox.com/s/x8qd5q5c0evrlwn/IMG_4389.JPG And sometimes it's missing many rows of the image output. Attached is the mask I...

Re: Resin that doesn't absorb moisture
Thanks! I just ordered some glycerin. Since the resin absorbs moisture, leaving it in water makes me nervous.

Re: Resin that doesn't absorb moisture
Has anyone tried this technique with MakerJuice? I'm going to give it a try. Would love to know if this has made a difference for anyone else.
