The forum has been dead for years. Hackers got in and destroyed everything and everyone quit using the forum after that. It was great when it was working though! We all learned so many things. I don't know if people still use Creation Workshop anymore but I'm sure the software can be downloaded from somewhere.

I would like to build a Simulator setup in my basement and would like to get ideas from you. Please post your setup pictures in this thread.

Thanks,

Anyone still using his littleRP v1? I was using mine with a 1-2cm square beam to make ultra miniature figures a fews years ago and I haven't touched it since. Now trying to see if there are any new software out there but there little to no information.

I saw the other post using NanoDLP with a V2 but no simple way to set it up with V1 and current NanoDLP version, without serious messing around.

My Creative workshop (before going closed source) works but there must be software that appeared with simple calibration since 5 years?

I might go the long route and upgrade the stepper to TMC to silence it a notch and figure out the NanoDLP thing but I hate reinventing the wheel if someone already made it or if the information is somewhere out there.

Thanks all.

They have a further discount at the time of this writing. "Good News There will be extra $60 discount for all customers who make reviews video to Youtube or your local social network" Currently, they have it shipped from the US for $400 so with the discount that would be $340. Getting closer and closer to my prediction of resin printers for under $200! :)

I am back :D for anyone who remember my contributions a while back. Due to complications, I did not act on any of the research I did, but things have changed and I would like to move forward with a set of fresh and simplified ideas. So here is the lineup of what the actual SLA printer I want looks like.

1. 4K resolution DLP projector - UV modified.
2. Top Down.
3. IKO Linear Rail for Z-axis.
4. NEMA-17 and RAMP v.1.7 controller board with Trinamic TMC2130 silent step.
OR
5. ODrive controller for DC "servo" motor.
6. Raspberry Pi 3.
7 NanoDLP slicer.

Attached is the micron and XY build area for a 4K projector as well as a link to Marco Reps video of him testing the ODrive among other.

Any comments are more than welcome.

1. Laser power? I'm assuming approx 150 mw would be plenty?

2. digital or analogue galvo? I'm assuming analogue, but I haven't done a whole lot of research on how exactly I'll be driving the galvo? Will I need a separate galvo control board in addition to the ramps 1.4 I was planning on using? Can I control it directly from a raspberry pi? Again, totally new to galvos and how they work and all that, so feel free to enlighten me as to the electronics necessary to pull this off.

3. connecting table? Not even sure what they mean by this, but hopefully someone here knows what they're talking about?

The supplier is a company from alibaba.com and the model they're offering is a Model JD2203 Galvanometer, with a 405nm laser and an f-theta lens lens specifically designed for a 405nm laser and a 300mm x 300mm working area. I'm expecting the total scanning head to come in around $500 or so, which is insanely cheap compared to the other options I've found online from American Suppliers. It's a big enough savings that I'm happy to drop the $500 on one of these scanners and give them a shot. Any feedback or input of any kind would be greatly appreciated since I'm in way over my head on this build.

Unfortunately, I am probably two years late and there is nothing new on this topic and the links do not work anymore. I'm currently building a Sla printer for a university projects.

I already got the hardware together as I thought the software wouldn't be the major problem. But now I'm a bit stuck with get CW and the laser shark board running.

Can anybody help me or can give me some clues how I could implement the board in CW. :)

Thanks in advance
